Emily Labutta enjoys working with high-achieving teens, young adults, athletes, and professionals experiencing anxiety, perfectionism, career and school related-stress, sports performance or injuries, burnout or loss of direction, eating disorders, and body image concerns. She takes a warm, non-judgmental approach to help clients cultivate self-awareness, set boundaries, and practice self-compassion. Emily is passionate about empowering others to live balanced, authentic lives aligned with their values.

Prior to becoming a counselor, Emily worked as a trial attorney prosecuting violent and non-violent crimes. She felt stuck in her legal role, unable to provide the emotional support and healing that victims of crime so desperately needed. Her experiences also taught her the importance of mental health and work-life balance, especially for driven, high acheiving individuals in high-pressure environments. Emily decided to make a career change to be able to help others overcome painful narratives and personal and professional challenges.

Emily graduated with a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University and holds a Juris Doctor degree from Emory University School of Law. She completed her undergraduate studies at Wheaton College, receiving a Bachelor of Arts double major in Philosophy and English Writing. She is a pre-licensed counselor under direction and supervision working toward a license in Georgia as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). In addition to her counseling practice, Emily enjoys running trails in the mountains and competing in ultra races.

A note from Emily —
