    3459 Acworth Due West Rd

    Description:

The goal of this group is to help your struggling teen better handle stress, reduce impulsivity, learn coping skills, and improve their relationships.

Throughout this 7-week counseling group, students will gain practical tools and strategies to learn about their emotions, engage with their emotions, manage their emotions effectively, and build resilience to combat stress, overuse of technology, and peer relationships. In a supportive and interactive group setting, students will explore various techniques for recognizing, understanding, and regulating their emotional responses.

The sessions will cover topics such as identifying and labeling emotions, understanding the physiological and cognitive aspects of emotions, and employing coping strategies like mindfulness, relaxation exercises, and cognitive restructuring. Through engaging activities, role-playing, and group discussions, teens will learn how to apply these skills in real-life situations, helping them to handle stress, reduce impulsivity, and improve interpersonal relationships.

Additionally, the group will provide a safe space for teens to share their experiences and challenges, fostering a sense of community and mutual support. By collaborating with peers, participants can gain new perspectives and develop a stronger sense of empathy and connection. The group aims to empower teens with a deeper understanding of their emotional processes, enhance their ability to manage difficult emotions, and build a toolkit of practical skills that can be used to navigate the complexities of adolescence with greater ease and confidence.
