Get to Know Angie Fowler

How did I get into this career?

As a former educator and administrator, I had the opportunity to work in teams that collaboratively helped children and their families cope with the stress of school and the challenges associated with navigating interpersonal relationships. However, I was unable to individually work with families through a holistic approach. This realization ultimately prompted the decision to broaden my scope of practice.

What is my favorite thing about counseling?

I love connecting with clients and learning about their life journey. Walking beside clients as they learn more about themselves and discover what they value is a privilege. One of my favorite things about the counseling process is helping a client who is feeling “stuck” realize through their own strengths that they can create positive change and have a fulfilling life.

What do I like to do when I'm not at Atlanta Wellness Collective?

When I’m not with clients, I enjoy spending time with my three young adult daughters and husband. I also enjoy playing golf, spending time with friends, traveling, and watching UGA football games.

What do I hope for my clients?

I hope my clients feel heard and supported, and that they are provided with the resources they need to help them discover their strengths so they can learn, heal, and grow. I continue to treasure the collaboration with colleagues, and I am excited to uncover how the team approach will benefit my clients. This decision ultimately led me to Atlanta Wellness Collective, and for that I am grateful.
