Get to Know Jill Sebaugh
How did I get into this career?
After one semester in college as a chemistry major, I realized that I needed to look in a new direction. I wanted a career that gave me a sense of purpose, was never boring and didn't involve taking another science lab. That led me to enroll in Social Work 101 and wow did I love it! Over 25 years later, I still love social work. I love that the skill set social workers acquire provides so many opportunities to make a positive impact on individuals, families, and communities. What could be better than that?
What is my favorite thing about counseling?
My favorite thing about counseling is all the amazing people I get to meet who I may not have met otherwise. My clients never fail to inspire me with their courage in facing life's challenges.
What do I like to do when I'm not at Atlanta Wellness Collective?
I love spending time outdoors — tennis, jogging, hiking Kennesaw mountain, taking a daily walk in the neighborhood with my husband, being outdoors and getting in some movement.
What do I hope for my clients?
I hope that my clients know that they are uniquely valuable and that their healing is important. I want my clients to discover their strengths, build their skills, and have the confidence to become the hero in their own life story.
