Get to Know Rebekah Brooks

How did I get into this career?

I’ve always had an innate drawing to a helping profession. I considered different ways to do that based on my interest in all the domains of health - physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and so on. Ultimately, I found myself drawn to counseling, captivated by its emphasis on connection. I really love how holistic and collaborative the counseling relationship is.

What is my favorite thing about counseling?

I feel privileged to sit with clients and get to know them. There’s a sacredness in the moments when someone opens themselves up, inviting me into their world, entrusting me with their vulnerabilities and dreams.

What do I like to do when I'm not at Atlanta Wellness Collective?

I really enjoy living an active life style! I’m often running, hiking, or walking. You can mostly find me in the kitchen cooking or baking something like homemade pizza to enjoy with my friends and family, in my garden waiting for my blooms to bloom, in the mountains or by the water with my family.

What do I hope for my clients?

My largest hope is that my clients feel safe enough to show up as themselves. I hope that in our time together they feel understood, heard, and cared for.
